Summer is near and warm weather calls for those sweet treat cravings, especially the icy cold ones! If you’re like us and love a good dish of ice cream when hot weather hits, these are a MUST try. And, we should mention, these are also kid-approved! What kid would argue with a chocolatey delicious sweet treat after a day at the pool? Most folks don’t realize how EASY it is to make your own ice cream at home! Our advice: Dice a few peeled bananas and keep in Ziplocs in your freezer for easy accessibility when the sweet tooth craving hits. And, a bag of Enjoy Life dark chocolate chips (we recommend the mini size) go a long way when sweetening each of these recipes! But most importantly, send this blog post on to your friends and family to help them “beat the heat” the healthy way this summer.

Add Shakeology To Ice Cream Recipes

Note: 1-2 scoops of Shakeology CAN be added to any of these recipes for an added health boost. Or, of course, Shakeology can be blended on its own for more of a smoothie-style treat that also treats your body right in the form of dense nutrition in less than 200 calories.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

Ingredients:

1 medium banana, chunked

1/2 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk

2 scoops Chocolate (or Cafe Latte) Shakeology

2 Tbsp. all-natural peanut butter

Directions:

Freeze banana in advance, already chunked. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

21 Day Fix Stats: 1 Red, 1 Purple, 3 tsp.

Chunky Monkey Ice Cream

Ingredients:

3 medium bananas, chunked

3 Tbsp. all-natural peanut butter

Unsweetened almond or coconut milk

4 tsp. dark chocolate chips

4 tsp. sliced raw almonds

Directions:

Freeze bananas in advance. Place bananas and peanut butter in blender and blend until smooth. Add 1 to 2 Tbsp. milk, if needed, for creamier texture.

21 Day Fix Stats: 1 Purple, 3.5 tsp.

Avocado Ice Cream

Ingredients:

1 medium banana, chunked

1/2 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk

1/2 ripe medium avocado

3/4 cup fresh spinach

1/2 cup frozen chopped mango

Directions: 

Freeze banana in advance. Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.

21 Day Fix Stats: 1/2 Green, 1 Purple, 1 Blue

Cherry Chocolate Chunk

Ingredients: 

1 medium banana, chunked

1/4 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk

1 cup frozen pitted cherries, chopped, divided

2 Tbsp. dark chocolate chips

Directions: 

Freeze banana in advance. Place milk, 1/2 cup cherries, and banana in blender and blend until smooth. Add remaining cherries and chocolate and stir well with a rubber spoon.

21 Day Fix Stats: 2 Purple, 1/2 Yellow

Peaches n’ Cream

Ingredients:

1 medium banana, chunked

1 cup frozen sliced peaches

1/4 cup Greek yoghurt (Chobani is our personal fave)

1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Directions: 

Freeze banana in advance. Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

21 Day Fix Stats: 1.5 Purple
