If you own a small boutique fitness studio, this post is for you.

It’s not easy being an entrepreneur. I know how you feel. Which is why I want to share some of my knowledge with you, as someone who teaches 8 classes per week within my facility, who personal trains, writes blogs, leads a Team of 500 people, and yes, ultimately helps people get results in their health and fitness…. Many of whom achieve those results within the comfort of their own home.

Huh?

Yeah, that’s right.

You see, most fitness entrepreneurs who own a facility have one primary thing going for them: They have a great place to work out.

Their classes might be their forte, or maybe their personal training sessions… maybe the equipment itself. And so they, as the owners, focus most of their time on marketing and advertising their strength (pun intended). Meanwhile, other areas of opportunity which could ultimately financially save their business often go unnoticed.

Ever wonder why it is, then, that so many small fitness studios close their doors within their first year of business?

It’s a pretty well known answer, and is the answer for every small business who goes under in their first year:

Lack of cash flow.

In many cases, a fitness instructor or personal trainer with high credibility opts to open his or her own space. They do so with a bank loan, or their savings account, and they bank on their personality and their past experience to build a thriving business. Ah, the dilemma of the modern entrepreneur.

But what happens, in reality, is that their classes don’t fill up, they later regret such low membership prices and wonder how to raise them in good graces, or they become so physically exhausted from handling the training themselves that they literally burn out. And because they don’t know how to hire credible, relationship-building instructors in order to free up their time to create an income stream for their business, in combination with a variety of other income-lacking activities (thanks to their going all in on just one area of strength), their business fails. And before they know it they find themselves saying, “This isn’t worth it.”

What I’d like to point out is pretty simple, really, and it comes in the form of a question:

Why did you start this studio in the first place?

Likely, you’re just like me, and you did so to make a difference. To truly help people get healthier, to build a community, and to do something you love.

Ultimately, I’m here to tell you that this IS possible. It is possible to thrive doing something you love, even if it’s fitness (and fitness folks know that the money associated with the industry is extremely low). The way to create an income-producing, well-oiled machine is by shifting the focus from more memberships sold to instead, adding in a network marketing component to your income stream.

You see, what I do as a Team Beachbody Coach is the perfect format to add into a studio format business model. Whether my gym may only be breaking even for the year on costs or earning low income for the year, my network marketing business is thriving in the 6-figure earnings range. This is not by chance or by luck: it is by design.*

Income

I have a formula for success when it comes to combining a small gym and network marketing… a successful business model that is working for everyone with whom I’m sharing it. And I’m ready to bring it to you very soon. Every fitness entrepreneur deserves to start with his/her head above water, and what the world needs first and foremost is better health. My goal is to deliver a business model that allows future gym owners the opportunity to:

If you’ve been thinking of opening your own space, or if you own your own space but have contemplated getting out of it due to the time and money it’s costing you, we should talk first. Stay tuned for some incredible value, and feel free to reach out to chat one-on-one!
