Show Notes
Welcome to the SYNC Your Life podcast episode #150! On this podcast, we will be diving into all things women’s hormones to help you learn how to live in alignment with your female physiology. Too many women are living with their check engine lights flashing. You know you feel “off” but no matter what you do, you can’t seem to have the energy, or lose the weight, or feel your best. This podcast exists to shed light on the important topic of healthy hormones and cycle syncing, to help you gain maximum energy in your life.
In today’s episode, I’m diving into the topic of intermittent fasting for females, and whether or not it is conducive to weight loss and overall health.
I reference Dr. Stacy Sims multiple times. The primary article can be found here.
Dr. Jolene Brighten also has an article on the subject, found here.
Bottom line: We do not have conclusive research on any benefits of intermittent fasting for women, and per Sims’ research, it is a bad idea for female athletes (or women who exercise) due to its impact on hormones, as Brighten so eloquently describes.
