Show Notes
Welcome to the SYNC Your Life podcast episode #75! On this podcast, we will be diving into all things women’s hormones to help you learn how to live in alignment with your female physiology. Too many women are living with their check engine lights flashing. You know you feel “off” but no matter what you do, you can’t seem to have the energy, or lose the weight, or feel your best. This podcast exists to shed light on the important topic of healthy hormones and cycle syncing, to help you gain maximum energy in your life.
In today’s episode, I’m interviewing Dr. Michelle Jorgensen a second time, but THIS time, it’s all about self-sufficient living. In our first interview, found here, we discussed functional dentistry, one of Dr. Michelle’s passions. But today, we dive into another area of interest for her: gardening and living a self-sufficient life.
Dr. Michelle Jorgensen, DDS, FAGD, TNC, CNAS is an internationally
acclaimed author, speaker, teacher, biologic/holistic dentist and health
and wellness provider. She is the author of five books: Healthy Mouth,
Healthy You; Be Prepared, Not Scared; Self-Sufficient Living; 100 Days
from the Garden and Real Food for Real Families. They can be found here.
After practicing traditional dentistry for 10 years, Dr. Jorgensen became
very sick. Through her own journey to return to health, she discovered she had mercury poisoning from drilling out mercury fillings for her patients. Her answers came from a combination of modern and traditional medicine and practices, and she realized there was
value in both approaches.
For the last 10 years she has been paving the way in Biologic/Holistic dentistry, and created the Total Care Dental and Wellness Way, a patient CARE centric, health focused method for treating dental and overall health.
She is also the founder of Living Well with Dr. Michelle, a local and global outreach to teach the habits and the behaviors necessary to really live well in today’s world. This includes everything from healthy food for busy families to plant medicines you grow in your own yard or
windowsill.
She has also started a non-profit foundation called Living Well Today Foundation to teach families how to be self-sufficient. She is building a large educational garden currently and plans to help other communities implement the same techniques to bring independence back to families and communities.
She has received certifications as a Therapeutic Nutritional Counselor, a Certified Nutritional Autoimmune Specialist, and is a Board-Certified Traditional Naturopath.
A busy mom of four, she loves to spend time with her family and is happiest when teaching and helping people!
