It’s that time of year again! The holiday season begs me to take over my Team blog to share with you MY personal favorite things from 2016. No, I’m not an affiliate marketer, so I share this with you simply because I want you to have  things on your Christmas wish list that will ROCK, as opposed to those annual socks and pajamas. If you know me, you know I’m gonna cover all things coffee, fitness gear, and this year, even a couple of baby things. Enjoy!

MCT Oil in Flavored Form

You know I’m a Bulletproof coffee fan, and each and every morning, I do it true Bulletproof style with 1 Tablespoon of grass-fed butter and 1 Tablespoon of this concentrated MCT (coconut) oil from onnit.com. I used to do the basic stuff… until I learned of their flavored oils, which makes your coffee taste like a REAL pumpkin spice (personal fave) or vanilla coffee.

Bulletproof French Press

Coffee tastes better on Sundays, and especially when it’s brewed via a French Press. That’s a fact. At least, in the Swisher house this proves true. My favorite press is from bulletproofexec.com. It’s a 4-cup, sleek design and pours beautifully.

Reebok High Top “Dance” Shoes

I wear these shoes ALL THE TIME (I have them in blue) and it never fails that people will ask me where I found them. They are Reeboks, and they’re technically dance shoes for hip hop dance (see the circular grooves on the ball of the foot to see how conducive they are to pivoting motions), making them a great choice for my at-home workouts. Pair them with jeans, leggings, or yoga pants, and crush your workout in them!

Core de Force

While I’m not an affiliate marketer, I AM a network marketer, and I represent Shakeology and various at-home fitness programs. I’ve never before shared a fitness program here on my “Favorite Things” blog, but this year, I can’t NOT share. Core de Force, released in November, is my ALL-TIME favorite workout program. The workouts incorporate cardio, strength training, and mixed martial arts in all new movements for a butt-kicking 30 day program. No equipment needed. This will be a program repeated many times in our household.

PowerBlock Weight Set

powerblocks

Anyone looking to set up a home gym in January? If so, PowerBlocks are your absolute best bet when it comes to investing in weights. With just 2 sets, you don’t have the mess (or the storage problems) that traditional dumbbells create, and they’re PERFECT to use as push-up stands as well (push-up rows anyone?) We use them on the daily at my fitness studio, and have been for 3 years. They last well.

Greens Keeper

greens

My mother-in-law gifted me this greens keeper last Christmas, and I LOVE it. Gone are the days of buying a fresh bag or box of spinach and seeing it go bad 1 or 2 days later. You just dump your greens into this container, make sure the setting is set accordingly, and keep your greens fresh!

Mophie Phone Charger

mophie

Friends, this is a game changer. I am known to always have a cord plugged into my phone with a portable charger attached. Not anymore! I’m a HUGE fan of the Mophie. It keeps your phone charged all day long and only rarely requires a recharge. (Sidenote: Mophie’s website, mophie.com, typically has better pricing than even Amazon.)

In the Baby Department…

Projector Mobile

mobile

The makers of this Soundspa (MyBaby) are brilliant. It uses projection technology to project images on the ceiling, as opposed to a large, obnoxious mobile getting in the way and being transported room to room. Not only that, but it also has a white noise machine. Turn that puppy on “Ocean sounds” and your baby is asleep in minutes. No joke. Moms, take note.

Sleep Sacks

sleepsack

Our little girl didn’t dig swaddles, but DOES dig being warm this winter. These sleep sacks are so simple and easy to dress your baby in at nighttime, provide instead warmth after a bath, and are easily washable. We own 4 of them. They are that awesome. We buy ours at Buy Buy Baby.

So there you have it, friends. My favorite things from 2016. I hope that if these make your list and make it under your tree this Christmas, that you absolutely love it the way I do!

Yours in Health & Fitness,
