The Newest At Home Workout: The Master’s Hammer and Chisel
The time has come.
Long ago were the days of leg warmers aerobics and Tae Bo… new are the days of well, this.
Introducing The Master’s Hammer and Chisel, Beachbody’s newest at-home workout program intended to help you lose weight, tone up, and sculpt your body.
Before we continue, you have to watch this.
Now, how badass does that look? Am I right?
From the creator of Body Beast, Sagi Kalev, and the creator of both 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme, Autumn Calabrese, The Master’s Hammer and Chisel will be the most up-to-date, proven method of achieving total body chisel in under 40 minutes a day. Both trainers are physique competitors themselves with high accolades. The program itself is 60 days, is comprised of workouts by both Sagi and Autumn that include power training, strength and resistance training, Olympic weightlifting style exercises, and all new core strengthening exercises. To put it simply, there’s just nothing like it.
Master’s Hammer and Chisel Makes Getting Results More Simple
Let’s be honest, it can be difficult to create that chiseled 6-pack or those bulging biceps… Master’s Hammer and Chisel makes it much more simple.
Rather than perform typical weight training exercises like bicep curls and basic squats, MHC utilizes the science of SSP Training (Strength, Stabilization, and Power). This program is intended to give you a comprehensive resistance training method that will relentlessly chip away fat, carve powerful muscle, and refine every inch of your body for results that are a true work of art.”
The program releases December 1st, 2015. You’ll want to be sure you reach out to your Coach to grab a copy ASAP! In the meantime, to gear up physically for MHC, we recommend completing the 21 Day Fix Extreme and/or Body Beast. BOTH will prepare you for what’s next with this revolutionary program.
So what makes The Master’s Hammer and Chisel so unique?
Aside from the exercises you’ll find in the program itself, the combination of the fitness component with the portioned, color-coded containers makes for a true total approach. This isn’t just a DVD program… It’s a DVD program that comes along with nutrition guidance, Shakeology®, and with Body Electric, a Coach to help you stay accountable to your goals.
What equipment do you need for the MHC?
You will most definitely need some free weights and either a bench or stability ball. Test group participants have recommended a bench rather than ball merely for a better ease of use. Other pieces of equipment that are optional include:
- plyometric mat (for jumping)
- gloves (to help with grip and prevent blistering)
How should I prepare for MHC?
As we mentioned, you should definitely have a base level of fitness and feel ready to take it to the next level. If you’re currently working with an entry level program but feel ready to up your game, perhaps consider starting with the 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, or Body Beast before venturing on to MHC.
How should I order?
Reach out to your Body Electric Coach! If you don’t have a Coach, simply submit your information to [email protected]. If you want to be sure that MHC is the right program for you, start by submitting our Soul Mate Workout Form by clicking here.
What does “Olympic Weightlifting exercises” mean?
Two primary moves are incorporated into the MHC program: the snatch and the clean and jerk.
With a snatch, the weight you’re using is lifted from the floor to overhead with one single motion. With Master’s Hammer and Chisel, this can be done with one dumbbell (versus the weighted bar as used in traditional Olympic weightlifting).
With a clean and jerk, there are two motions involved: the first is a single motion movement of the weight from the floor to the shoulder, and the second is an overhead extension of the weight while progressing into a lunge.
Don’t let the descriptions scare you… These are functional exercises that individuals pursuing MHC should be ready to begin. Remember, a base level of fitness is suggested for this program.
