Welcome to the SYNC Your Life podcast episode #347! On this podcast, we will be diving into all things women’s hormones to help you learn how to live in alignment with your female physiology. Too many women are living with their check engine lights flashing. You know you feel “off” but no matter what you do, you can’t seem to have the energy, or lose the weight, or feel your best. This podcast exists to shed light on the important topic of healthy hormones and cycle syncing, to help you gain maximum energy in your life.

In today’s episode, we have a fun announcement! If you’ve ever considered becoming a women’s health coach, now is your time. Dr. Meg Mill has launched her Women’s Functional Health Institute, a way to become more knowledgeable in women’s health from a root cause perspective AND the business savvy you need to work with clients. Prior to this, only two separate routes have existed: seek all the credentials and certifications, and then invest in business building and marketing. Dr. Mill’s WFHI combines the two, making this a no brainer for anyone interested in building an online health coaching practice.

Jenny Swisher: [00:01:00] Welcome friends to this episode of The Sink Your Life Podcast. Today I’m sharing with you an exciting announcement on behalf of my friend Dr. Meg Mill. Now, this is an interview, a very short conversation that Dr. Mill and I had recently that I wanted to share with you. All about the release of her new Women’s Functional Health Institute.

I’m really excited about this. In fact, I wish this was around five to 10 years ago when I was looking for something like this myself. I have so many women come to me asking for more knowledge, right? Like, should I become a personal trainer? Should I become a nutritionist? Like, how do I dig deeper into women’s health?

How do I become a true women’s health coach? Maybe you have a background as a health coach in network marketing. Maybe you’re, you know, building some sort of online business, or you wanna work with clients one-on-one. Well before now, there’s really not been a one stop option right before now it’s been, well go get all these different credentials, pay for all these different courses, but then also good luck building a business.

Good luck trying to find a clientele to market properly and to actually build this as a successful business. Well, Dr. Mag Mill started working on this last year, and when she was telling [00:02:00] me about what she was building, I knew it was something I wanted to share with my community. She’s, like I said, calling it the Women’s Functional Health Institute, and it’s a place where you can learn both the knowledge you need in women’s health and how to apply it, as well as how to build that clientele and really become successful at it.

I think she’s done a great job of putting this all together. I’ve been super impressed with her as my own practitioner and just in general in business, and so I told her I wanted to have her here on the show. I wanted to make sure that I helped. Helped her make this announcement because I think it’s really truly gonna serve the world of women’s health so well.

So whether you are an existing women’s health coach or you’re looking to be, this is the perfect place for, for you to, this is the perfect thing for you doing. This is the perfect thing for you to take on in 2026. So without further ado, here’s a conversation between Dr. Magill and myself all about this.

Now, at the end of this, I will make sure that I link up in the show notes for you and share at the end all about how you can find more about a webinar that we’re hosting various. Soon. Now, the first cohort for this program begins February 3rd, 2026. She’s gonna have future [00:03:00] cohorts of course, but if you’re listening to this before, then you’re gonna wanna make sure that you get signed up before then.

So I will link up for you in the show notes, the registration for our webinar, and that will get you all the details you need to know in order to begin with her in February. So again, without further ado, here’s Dr. Magna.

Hey there. How are you? Good. How are you? Good. I’m enjoying the sunshine today, even if it’s only four degrees outside. I agree. It’s like, so Yeah, you staying warm. It’s been so gloomy. I know. Yeah, I know. I’m ready for spring, but I know it’s too soon, so. Yeah. Calming down, right?

That’s right. Well, happy New Year. I just told my followers Happy New Year. It’s been a minute since I’ve been here on ig. Um, but I’m excited for this. I mean, I’ve known that you’ve been working on this for several months now, and like I said, we’re gonna be talking today about the Women’s Functional Health Institute that Dr.

Mem Mill is launching. She’s got an awesome, um, sort of. Cohort starting early February. We’ll talk all about that, but just for my followers, I know that I have a lot of women. In my sync community, people who follow my [00:04:00] podcast, people who follow me on social, who are really, maybe they, they’ve been a health coach in the past, or they’ve, you know, they’re personal trainers or they’re into nutrition or whatever the case is, and they wanna be able to help their clients.

They wanna build their credibility. And so the, the number one question in my inbox is always. What should I do? Like what certification should I go after, right? Like, should I get my personal training? Should I, should I go to IIN? Like all these different things, right? And those are all incredible things and I have resources like that that I can share with you that have helped me build my knowledge.

But what I ultimately see though, is women who get the knowledge they need and they understand. Functional wellness, but then they can’t obtain the clients or they don’t know how they wanna run an online business or how they wanna do this virtually, or they don’t know how to kind of make the business work.

And I think it takes both, right? Like if you wanna be success, and I say this from experience, I know you have experience. Yes. Like you have to be, be able to. Have sort of the marketing and the business side down as much as you do the, um, the knowledge of, of the health side. So [00:05:00] I was just sharing before you hopped on here, you and I got to know each other because I found you for my own health journey.

Yes. I was looking for somebody, I was like, why is no one out here talking about chronic migraines? You were the person that just kept popping up for me and the, the land of podcasts and we started working together, I think it was almost three years ago. Mm-hmm. Um, with just functional testing for me. And really trying to figure out what type of supplement protocols I need and what I needed in my own health.

And so I kind of have been your client. Yes. Um, and then, and then we, you know, I had you on the podcast and we’ve become friends and so like I said, when you said this is something that you were coming out with, I was like, my world and my community needs to hear about this because I think it really hits both, it hits giving women the knowledge that they need to run a functional health business.

Mm-hmm. But also the business side. So I’ll let you, I’ve talked too much already, but Meg, if you wanna just tell us who you are and then share with us what you’ve created. Yes. Yeah. So I’m Dr. Meg Mill, and I’ve been in the healthcare world for the last 20 years, but about a day I had my own health journey, [00:06:00] like you that brought me over for, to functional medicine.

Dr. Meg Mill: And so I did what you’re saying, you know, I’m an education person and it’s like, I need another degree. I need to do this, I need that. And I, I kept building functional medicine certifications like I need the next. Thing I need the next thing. And then I realized, okay, you can have all of this knowledge, but what do you do with it?

It’s not getting people in the door, it’s not getting clients. So then I went back and did all the business trainings and it’s like, okay, how do I actually make a successful practice in this? And you know, I have this, this knowledge bucket. But also the other thing I would say is a lot of the programs out there.

With the different certifications, with the knowledge or general knowledge. Mm-hmm. So I have to do a lot of my own research of, you know, I spend hour, I’m a researcher by nature, and so hours and hours of developing protocols that actually work. Not just this, like, okay, here’s all the information, but how do you actually apply that information and get results and get, you know, really when someone comes and is sitting in front of you, they wanted health transformation.

They wanna feel [00:07:00] better, you know, they’re investing in their self, they’re investing in you, and they want a difference. And what do you need to do to get them? To see that difference, you know, get them from, you know, where they’re feeling, to really feeling like, uh, wow, I feel much better. And so really the idea behind the woman’s, um, functional Health Institute is that I, I’m giving everything.

I spent the last year and a half creating everything that I wish I had. So to be, you know, now I worked with close to a thousand people. I’ve seen these huge health transformations and you know, I’ve been, but I can’t do it by like, I feel like I just. Got so overwhelmed and so busy, I’m like, I can’t do this.

I felt called to more, to actually teach other people. Okay, what are the, like, what are the steps you need? You know, order matters so much and I think that’s like the other thing. If you do the right thing in the wrong order, you’re not gonna get the results. And I’ve so many people come to me that are, have been a lot of other practitioners and are saying, Nick, oh, it was just push supplements.

I, you know, I had all these things. They weren’t done in the right order to actually move the needle. So we really [00:08:00] learned the protocols, like exactly how you do, like what you need to do, looking specifically at women’s health. And then on the other hand, how do you actually create a business doing that?

How do you, you know, structure your business? How do you get clients? How do you get referrals? How do you, how do you become seen as an expert? Uh, you know, all of those things matter because you can also have all the information in the world. But if no one knows about you, no one knows. You know how you’re getting results.

People aren’t sharing it with their friends. You know, you’re not getting these referrals, you’re not being seen, you’re not, you don’t necessarily get the business. And I’ve seen some really, really smart, educated people really struggle. Mm-hmm. And that was one of, I stayed in touch when I did my certificate ’cause I was building certifications.

I stayed in touch with a lot of people that then are like, okay, I have this information. Now, like you’re saying now what? Yeah. And did nothing. Not like at all. And it’s like, I don’t even know what to do, so I just didn’t do anything. Right. And so it’s like we wanna be out there changing people’s lives. We wanna be doing, you know, know, having all the [00:09:00] tools and so, yeah.

Yeah, yeah. And you also don’t wanna be like overworking and burning yourself out in the process. And I’ve done that too. Like, I’ve done the thing where I am having a thriving business, but then I’m always working. And so I think being able to do it in a smart way is important too. Um, for the last couple years people, when people ask me like, well, how do you build a business like yours?

Like, you know, I don’t wanna run a podcast necessarily, but I wanna have clients, I wanna work with people, I wanna help them from sort of a root cause approach as a health coach. And I, I’ve been sending them two different directions, so I’m like, well, you need two things. Yes. Like you need the credibility and the knowledge of functional health.

But then I also send them to like. A branding agency, marketing, and I’m like this, you also need this because if you’re gonna build an online, like you said, an online clientele, you need to know how to do that and how to, how to create your own brand and how to really make people attracted to you in the first place, right?

Mm-hmm. So that you can build that and the systems behind it, I think is what I was so impressed with, with you. And when we first started working together, everything, I mean, I, I have worked with. Dozens of practitioners, like right now I’m in the, I’m just in the pinball [00:10:00] machine of like, do you have a neuro, do you have this?

Do you have a Yes exam? Right? So I was looking for somebody that was. Different in an alternative anyway, but I, I was so impressed with just the, everything just flowed. We had a way to communicate through an online portal, you know, appointments were confirmed. And I, and I knew that all that was happening on your end in a very automated way.

You were not sitting behind the scenes scrambling to like schedule people and email like all the things, right? Mm-hmm. So doing this in a smart way is really important too. So I know you have like your first cohort going through this. Yes. February 3rd. And I wanna tell my listeners here that you and I are gonna do a webinar together next.

Thursday, so a week from today. Mm-hmm. We’re doing a webinar on this. We’re gonna go into much more detail than we’re able to go into right now on Instagram, but we’re gonna do a webinar next Thursday evening, 8:30 PM Eastern Time. I will actually drop the link for registration for that here in the comments as soon as we finish.

Um, but if you’re interested, even if you’re just like, Hmm, this is sort of intriguing, I wanna learn more, like register, sign up, come listen to us, talk more about it. But Meg, if you wanna tell us more about what’s [00:11:00] starting on February 3rd, that’d be great. Yeah, so we’re starting, that’s when we’re gonna start the certification.

Dr. Meg Mill: So it’s a woman’s functional health coach certification. So I mean, this is, you can use this knowledge, we’re going through every system in the body and we’re talking about how we connect them. So it’s really like putting all the pieces together, but specifically for women. So. You know, that’s the other thing.

A lot of the information is generalized and I could, I could get, I could get into a whole nother talk about that and you and I know, oh yeah. Menopause, very metabolic. Like we change, we’re dynamic. We’re not like generalized. So what, you know, when you have this woman’s. Sitting in front of you, what are all the things that you need to do?

What, how do you look at the different systems of the body? How do you connect them? What order should you do? I mean, I literally lay like everything out and I am very systematized. So like I like to have, you know, what, what do we learn? What’s the deep knowledge and then what’s the thing that you have right in front of you when you have someone and that you need to like go to quickly and you know, go back to your resources.

Yes, I have all of those resources. So [00:12:00] we’re going to do that and you’ll get the certification. But then in addition, I think what differentiates this program even more is that we’re also working on business. Because I think without that business component, without that client generation system, without like all of the foundational things to be in a business, you can’t necessarily get to where we, where you wanna go.

And that’s what I, I want you, you know, if, if you’re. Successful in your business? Like, I’m successful because that, so that’s like, that’s my goal is to like see your success in, in what you’re doing because I, I think people need it. There are, you know, I’ve done the research when I was doing this because like I said, I’ve been doing this for the last year and a half.

Like it’s taken a lot of effort and I had to decide like, is this something that I. You know, I have a thriving practice. I, you know, I, I didn’t necessarily need to make the shift, but I just felt called to it. And I did a lot of infor like research on the need. And I mean, there’s just, I mean, I know that in my world for sure, but there is such a need.

There’s women, they’re [00:13:00] waiting for you, like they need you, they’re everywhere. They want your help. And so, you know, there, there’s space for this, there’s a need for this. And, you know, even if you’re just Yeah. Curious about it. Yeah. Yeah. Illness. Yeah. Well, and you’re right, and the thing that I learned a long time ago is that, you know, you can, you can help as many clients as you can.

Like you said, you know, you’ve worked with thousands of women, and it’s awesome to see those transformations, to see them really feel better again. Mm-hmm. Um, but if you can certify women in, in how you’re doing that, then you’re, you. It’s a domino effect. So you’re able to actually help more people that you may not have been able to reach otherwise because now those women are able to go into their circles and their social influence and they’re able to replicate what you’ve taught them and help other women.

So I think that’s, it’s the gradual next step and I’m so glad you’re doing it. ’cause like I said, I’ve been sending people multiple places and Yes. And um, and this is just perfect. So, okay guys, so next. Thursday, 8:30 PM Eastern Time. We’ll do a webinar, a deep dive, more on what’s involved in the Women’s Functional health.

Uh, Institute will answer questions for you at the end. Um, like I said, I’ll drop the [00:14:00] registration link here in the comments as soon as we’re done. But what do you think Meg, like who, who should be attending this? Like what, what woman out there? Maybe women that are thinking like, maybe I wanted to be a health coach, or I have been a health coach and I don’t, maybe women who are.

Also working network marketing businesses as a health coach. Yes. Mm-hmm. This, I would definitely inspire you and encourage you to do something like this, to add credibility to what you’re doing and to your brand, and it’s gonna help you build your business. And even if you’re not, even if you’re just burned out of network marketing or you don’t wanna do that sort of thing, that’s totally cool too.

And you wanna just run your own practice online. This is gonna be a great resource for you as well. So I’d love for you to just tell us your thoughts on who this is perfect for, and then we’ll wrap up. I think it’s been perfect for like, like you’re saying, a lot of different people. If you are a health coach already and you’re saying, okay, yes, how, how do I really get all the tools I need to get transformations, build a business, really move forward in the practice?

Dr. Meg Mill: And you can use this a lot of ways. You can also, if you’ve been on a health journey, that qualifies you. I think a lot of people don’t discount like their own healthcare. Yeah, for sure. I’m gonna give you the [00:15:00] steps that you need. So if you’re someone who’s been on your own health journey and is like, you know what, I’m passionate about this, or you’re someone who listens to like all the health podcasts or, you know, yeah.

Follows Jenny and is like, I want more health information and, or you want a career change and you want, you know, one of the things I think is most valuable for what, what I do, and you know, what you get to do too, is that I, I love it. Like, I wake up loving what I do every day and feeling like. I’m so grateful that I get to do this and get to help people and make changes.

And you have a life with like a purpose. Plus you also, like, one of the things that you know isn’t always talked about is you have flexibility. You have your control of your own schedule for sure. You can go on vacation and work from vacation. You, you know, you can do all the things, which is, you know, it’s not that.

So if you’re like in a nine to five job and you’re, you’re like, okay, you know what, I, I want a, you know, something different, something more meaningful. There’s a lot of ways to build this out, so I think, yeah, just come join us, learn more about it. We’ll see. Absolutely. Absolutely. Talk to you and you know, we’ll, like we said, we’ll be answering questions so we can kind of talk through and [00:16:00] help you figure some of that out too, if you have questions.

Amazing. Amazing. Well, I think, yeah, I think so much of you, Dr. Mill, I think you’ve helped me so much in my personal health journey, but also just learning from you as a business woman too, and being able to, to share what you’re doing with the world. So you guys, all right, we’ll link this up for you guys.

Like I said, if you have any questions, let us know. You can reach out to either one of us here on Instagram, and I can always point you in the direction of Dr. Mill if needed. Uh, but yeah, thank you for doing this. I hope you’re heading into a warmer weekend. And we are not changing. As we talked, I was like, oh, the, the, you know, an hour shine.

Dr. Meg Mill: I know. Yeah. Well, to say I, I know I’ve got my blinds. I was, I was really bright when I got here and then I, I toned it down, but I’m snowflake, so just, I feel like I’m in a snow globe right now. So I’m ready for, I’m ready for spring, but I know it’s not here, so I guess, um, I guess I’ll deal with it, but yeah.

Well, we’ll get there. Alright friend. Well thank you for having on here with me and you guys have any questions, let us know. But happy New Year. We’ll talk soon. Yes. Bye-bye. Bye. [00:17:00]
