Eat Like a Girl: Why You Shouldn't Intermittent Fast as a Female

Bottom line: We do not have conclusive research on any benefits of intermittent fasting for women, and per Sims’ research, it is a bad idea for female athletes (or women who exercise) due to its impact on hormones, as Brighten so eloquently describes.
