It’s that time of year again! Time to share my favorite things from 2023 so that you know what to add to your holiday wish list. Truth is, we as women usually prioritize everyone else first. We make sure the kids have a great holiday, and we are often in charge of hosting gatherings and making sure every little detail is in place. But let me be the first to tell you, you deserve something for yourself, too! Everything on this list are truly things I love and enjoy and use often. I know you’ll find value in them, too.
Let’s dive in!
1. SYNC Your Life 2025 Planner
I believe women should follow our energy, and our energy ebbs and flows with our menstrual cycle and the moon. The various phases of your cycle come with varying energy levels, so why not take advantage? This planner allows you to put focus on your menstrual phase, priorities, relationships, workouts, and even has a customizable meal planner. It’s everything I ever wished for in a planner, which is why I created it.
If you haven’t upgraded to clean, mycotoxin free coffee yet, let this be the time. Lifeboost is my daily go-to. I blend the original with original Swiss water decaf for a half caff approach to lessen the burden on my adrenals. Check out this podcast I did with Lifeboost founder Dr. Charles Livingston.
I’ve used the Oura ring for three years and it has been the #1 game changer to biohacking my sleep. I now get more deep and REM sleep than I ever dreamed of (see what I did there?) and my body is thanking me! Sleep is one of the primary fundamentals of hormone balance. If your sleep is off, start with measuring it and collecting data using a wearable like Oura.
If you’re a cycling female, seed cycling can help you balance your hormones naturally, but not all seeds are created equal. I avoid seeds sold in grocery stores and instead consume these from FunkIt Wellness. More on this topic on this podcast episode if you’d like to learn more!
5. Hugh & Grace Nutritionals, Skin Care, and Home Care
I get asked this question DAILY: How can I make simple swaps to non-endocrine disrupting products? Look no further, my friends. Hugh & Grace have you covered with their third party tested arsenal. Start with The Routine with Protein Hormone Support to optimize your body for detoxification, hydration, and maximum energy. Then make the swaps from the skin care you’re using to our simple system. Eliminating the chemicals we apply to our body each day can make a huge difference in our hormone health.
6.. Organifi Products (Use code: JSWISH15)
I’m a huge fan of Organifi, but my newest favorite is the Happy Drops, comprised of saffron and other powerful adaptogenic herbs. While you’re on the site, pick up their Magnesium, as it’s my top favorite supplement I believe all women should consume (because we are all deficient thanks to depleted soils). It’s pure magnesium glycenate without having to take a large amount of pills.
After interviewing multiple functional dentists on the podcast, I knew I had to make the switch to a hydroxyapatite toothpaste, and Boka has become a family favorite. Eliminating fluoride is half the battle. Reducing other toxic ingredients is also key. Boka is the brand we trust.
One supplement I incorporate into my regimen daily that I believe all women should consume is creatine powder (specifically, creatine monohydrate). We have decades of research on creatine benefits for women, and I must say, I’ve noticed a change in my own physique since using it. I simply mix it into my post workout protein drink as it blends in flavorless. And before you go thinking creatine is for body building women only, take a listen to this.
9. Our Place Nontoxic Cookware
Along the lines of making simple swaps in the toxic products we’re using, take a look at the cookware you’re cooking with on a daily basis. Many leach chemicals into your food, which is not cool. I’ve come to love my Always pan from Our Place. Gotta love that spoon rest, too.
10. CAMPO Beauty Essential Oils
I am not one for essential oils, but CAMPO Beauty has THE BEST combined scents for your day-to-day. I especially love the Relax roll-on and keep it with me always. My interview with Jessica Frandson, founder of CAMPO Beauty, will have you wishing for these scents in your life. I’m also a huge fan of their white ceramic diffuser!
11. Ripley Cove Farms Grass-Finished Beef Boxes
If you don’t know the difference between grass fed and grass finished beef, now is the time to learn. Check out this podcast interview I did with founder of Ripley Cove Farms, Chad Meinders. You’ll never eat beef the same again! Their frozen beef boxes are delivered right to your door, and trust me: the nutrient density in this beef is bar none. Enjoy!
12. Lux Therapy Red Light (Use code: LUXSYNC10)
Red light therapy is becoming more and more popular, and with good reason. I use it daily for my migraine headaches and neck pain! Check out this interview I did with the founder of Lux Therapy, Tony Kovicak. While you can find red light anywhere, finding a high quality light can be a difference maker in your healing journey.
13. Mira Wand
I’ve been using a Mira wand for nearly 2 years now, and while I have had to replace it a couple of times due to malfunction (customer service has replaced it!), I’m a huge fan of the data it provides. If you’re looking to conceive, cycle track more specifically, or just want a good handle on your menstrual health. Mira will give you data you can use and learn from.
14. Weighted Vest
Want to increase bone density and improve skeletal muscle? Add a weighted vest to your walking routine. Something as simple as adding resistance to your daily walk can help you burn more calories (not that that’s the end goal, but it’s great for improving metabolic rate!), and stay strong in the core. I wear a 12 lb. weighted vest for about 3-4 walks per week. Don’t be surprised if your usual casual walk becomes a bit more breathy! Oh, and it’s OK to just go for walks without it, too. Sometimes we need the push, and sometimes we need the casual stroll.
I hope this helps you craft YOUR list for the holidays and know that everything on this list I stand by 100%. I love these brands! Cheers to a happy holiday season for you and yours. And mama, gift yourself.
xo,
Jenny
